Louisiana State University’s Undergraduate and Graduate Catalog is a static document meant to reflect the requirements and programs in existence at the time of a student’s enrollment in the university. Below is a list of academic programs that have been created since the catalog’s initial online publication in March 2025.

The Coastal Meteorology B.S. degree emphasizes the fundamentals of atmospheric science and earth systems interactions, then deepening that knowledge with the program’s unique coastal focus. This degree emphasizes a specialized education in mathematics, physics, and environmental/coastal science while also providing a range of elective coursework in coastal meteorology, geography, statistical analysis, and other fields. The program also adheres to the OPM-1340 hiring standards, which prepares students for work with the federal government and demonstrates their abilities to private sector employers as meteorologists.
