LAW 5403 - Labor Law Credit(s): 3 Forces—economic, social, and legal—that influence and shape modern labor relations; analysis of the place of organized labor in a free-enterprise democracy; establishment of the collective bargaining relationship including provisions of the Labor Management Relations Act relating to representation proceedings and the duty to bargain; process of collective bargaining, including drafting and administration of collective bargaining agreements, together with public interest in industrial disputes and provisions of state and federal legislation; limitations on use of economic or other pressures by employers, workers, unions, and others—unfair labor practices, statutory as well as those evolved by the courts in absence of legislation; appropriate comparative studies of foreign law.
