Students cannot take both this course and either Uniform Commercial Code Security Devices (LAW 5320 ) or Security Devices (LAW 5704 ). Discussion and comparison of Louisiana Civil Code articles and Revised Statutes relating to personal security rights (suretyship) and real security rights in movable and immovable property (security interests under Chapter 9 of the Louisiana Commercial Code, mortgages, and privileges), with some comparison with Common Law forms of security.
