LAW 5339 - Wine and Alcohol Law

The course will cover a variety of legal issues related to the international and domestic production, distribution, and consumption of wine and other alcohol products. The core of the course will examine interstate and international shipping and distribution rules, including Internet sales and labeling requirements. The course will consider various “branding” issues in wine and alcohol, including trademarks, viticultural areas, and geographic indicators. The course will spend a considerable amount of time comparing the “New World” of wine production with the “Old World.”
