LAW 5410 - Local Government Law Credit(s): 3 An examination of the legal relationships that local governments have with other governmental entities, their public servants, and the public. The course begins by examining the position of local governments in relation to the state, other local governments, and the federal government. Next, it describes the status and rights of local officers and employees. Finally, it concludes with an overview of the regulatory and fiscal powers, contractual obligations, and tort liability of local governments.
