LAW 5461 - National Security Law Credit(s): 3 This course will examine the current constitutional framework guiding national security institutions as well as its historical roots - from the early Constitutional Period through the Civil War to the present day. We will cover allocation of power between Congress and the President on matters of foreign policy and war making, domestic security and emergency response, and the role of the judiciary in checking the political branches. There will be an emphasis on informational privacy, cybersecurity, and cyberwar.
