LAW 5721 - The Legal Profession

Required for graduation. This required course explores topics related to the legal profession and the law of lawyering. Topics include the history, goals, structure, function, and values of the legal profession. The course also considers, among other things: the Rules of Professional Conduct; professional disciplinary procedures; admission to the practice of law; lawyer roles in the delivery of legal services; responsibilities of lawyers to clients, courts, and others; and professional responsibility problems that confront the legal profession.
