The role of epigenetics in mammalian development and disease, and the evidence of parental environmental induced epigenetic inheritance in livestock. Epigenetic mechanisms (DNA methylation, histone modifications, chromatin remodeling, and non-coding RNA) will be thoroughly examined as will the epigenome profiling methods used to assess them.
