Social Work Minor

The minor in social work provides undergraduate students an opportunity to acquire substantive academic emphasis in social work practice covering the lifespan from children to older adults. Students minoring in social work must complete a total of 18 hours.

Required nine hours:

SW 2000 Introduction to Social Work (3)
SW 3002 The Child and the Community (3)
SW 3003 Skills in Working with People (3)

Select nine hours from the list of electives below:

SW 2500 Introduction to LGBTQ Studies (3)
SW 3007 Juvenile Delinquency (3)
SW 3011 Community Services and the Aged (3)
SW 4500 Crisis Intervention (3)
SW 4070 Special Topics in Social Work (3)

Additional Information:
