EDCI 3124 Curriculum Discipline: Mathematics Theory and Practice (6)

Prereq.: Professional Practice Block I; 9 sem. hrs. of mathematics, including MATH 1029 , MATH 1201 /MATH 1100 , and MATH 1201 ; and concurrent enrollment in EDCI 3003 and EDCI 3125 . 3 hrs. lecture; 6 hrs. lab/field experience in multicultural, multi-level settings. Structures of the discipline of mathematics applied to teaching mathematics in grades 1-5; standards-based pedagogical strategies, techniques, and materials are coordinated with basic principles of learning.
