What is Business Analytics?
All businesses rely on insights from data to improve their operations. Business analytics is the application of data analytics in all business disciplines. Students will develop skills in data analytics including accounting, finance, marketing, and management to gain insights from data, build models, and apply them to improve business performance. The students will learn the analytics cycle from business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, model building, and model implementation. The Business Analytics curriculum provides students with hands-on knowledge and applications in how data analytics is used in each of the business disciplines.

Learn the analytics cycle from understanding a business and its data to model building and implementation. You take the guesswork out of business success by learning to prepare, analyze, and interpret data.
The Business Analytics curriculum ensures that students receive instruction on the main components of analytics: preparative analytics, descriptive analytics, predictive analytics, and prescriptive analytics. Students also receive instruction on the application of analytics to various business decisions in disciplines such as marketing, finance, and human resources.
