General Requirements
Pre-Requisites. Certain classes have pre-requisites which need to be considered in order for a student to advance into some courses. A list of such courses is available on the School of Art’s Website and in the College’s Student Services Center.
Advising. Students pursuing the BA in Art & Design may choose a group of courses in areas of specific interest to them—such as digital art, graphic design, and the studio arts, which include ceramics, painting and drawing, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. Because of the wide range of individual options available, the development of an Advising Plan, on record in the College’s Student Service Center, is required before a student may advance beyond any 2000-level course. A hold will be put on scheduling for any student who has not completed an Advising Plan by the end of their second year in the program.
Upper Level Courses. A minimum of 30 semester hours in courses numbered 3000 or above is required (15 of which must be at the 4000 level).
Credits in Art. The maximum number of credits in all ART courses which may be taken for this degree is 42
