Chemistry Minor

Students are required to complete a minimum of 24 credit hours in the following courses to earn the Chemistry minor. The Honors version of these courses will be accepted:

• General Chemistry (6 credit hours): CHEM 1201  and CHEM 1202  
• Organic or Analytical Chemistry (6 credit hours): CHEM 2261  and CHEM 2262  or CHEM 2001  
• Chemistry Laboratory (a minimum of 3 credit hours): CHEM 1212   and CHEM 2364  or CHEM 2002  
• Elective CHEM Courses (9 credit hours): Three 3-credit hour CHEM courses with at least 6 credit hours at the CHEM 3000 level or above
• The following courses cannot be taken to meet the minor in Chemistry requirements: CHEM 2900 , CHEM 3900 , CHEM 4003 , and CHEM 4005 .
