ATRN 2000 Emergency Medical Response (3)

Credit will not be given for this course and KIN 2503 and KIN 2601 . Prereq.: Athletic Training majors and Coach Education minors only or permission of instructor. Role and responsibilities of the athletic trainer and other medical professionals in pre-hospital trauma care, components of EMS systems, medical/legal considerations, and communications in advanced and basic life support settings. Students will complete professional rescuer CPR/AED and First Aid for the Healthcare Provider and learn base skills in emergency trauma response.
